If you are one of those people who are looking for appetizers and all kinds of condiments in meals, then olives and cultivated olives and all kinds of salads are always on your table.Cultivated olives are one of the types of appetizers that we mostly see in northern cities and are available in different flavors with different tastes; From sour to sweet and smooth.Making olives at home, however, is more exciting, because it is made according to your own taste and you are sure of the health of the ingredients that are added to it.

ingredients:

Grenadine: 2 cups

Walnut kernels: 300 grams

Thyme: 1 tablespoon

No core olives: 500 g

Olive oil: 2 tablespoons

Sour lemon juice: 2 tablespoons

Dried mint powder: 1 tablespoon

Dried pomegranate seeds: 2 tablespoons

Preparation method:

1. To prepare the northern olives, we first grind the walnut kernels twice and pour them into large bowls. Then add the olives. If the olives are sour or salty, pour them into a container full of water for a maximum of 1 hour to soak them well.

2-Then pour in the drain and drain and leave to remove excess water and then use in cultivated olives. Then add grenadine to the ingredients with sour lemon juice at the same time and mix the ingredients with a spoon.

3. After mixing the ingredients well, add the dried mint powder, dried thyme powder, pomegranate seeds and olive oil to the ingredients and mix the ingredients again with a spoon so that the taste of the vegetables is completely absorbed by the ingredients.

4. Once the ingredients are completely homogeneous, pour them into a special container with a lid and seal it tightly. Then store in the refrigerator.

Tricks:

If the olive was bitter, boil it several times and drain the water to remove the bitterness.

- If you use more walnuts in cultivated olives, the color of your cultivated olives will be lighter and if you use more pomegranates, its color will be darker.

The olives you use should be green, seedless and fine. The finer the olives, the tastier they are and the better the taste of the grown olives. So never use coarse-grained olives to make this appetizer.

The walnuts you use should be good quality and fresh because adding old walnuts to grown olives makes this appetizer taste bitter quickly.

Before adding olives to your mixture, do not wash it with water as it will cause the olives to become moldy.

-Grenadine  that you use in the preparation of cultivated olives, should be sour and sweet. Never use completely sweet or very sour grenadine to flavor this appetizer.
