The Chevrolet, also known as the Chevrolet, is an American automobile company, now the brand name for a group of cars manufactured by General Motors.

The company was founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant was founded. Chevrolet was acquired by General Motors in 1918.

During its many years in the automotive industry, Chevrolet has introduced famous models to the world car market, the most well-known of which are: Impala, Camaro, Tahoe, Express, Volt, Cruz, Colorado, Tavra, Tracker, Blazer, Suburban, Celebrity, Nova, Lumina, Monte Carlo, Montana, Van, Vega, Cavalier, Caprice, Kodiak and Corvette.

The name of the company's cars, from the name of a successful Swiss driver; Lewis Chevrolet is taken.

He was born in Switzerland from French parents and he worked for a Morse company there and then decided to immigrate to Canada with his brothers, Arthur and Gaston.

He then entered the United States. In New York City, Lewis was given the opportunity to work on William Walter's cars and trucks. He then started working in a number of factories and was able to prove himself as one of the best race drivers, which led to the attention of William C. He was attracted to Durant, the founder of General Motors, and Durant hired him as a General Motors driver.

Louis Chevrolet and William Durant designed a new car in the style of French cars and named it Chevrolet. In 1911, the classic six-cylinder model was produced for the US market. On November 3 of that year, the Chevrolet Motor plant was established and produced 2,999 units of the car in the same year.

Mason Motor Company, formerly controlled by Durant, was divested to Chevrolet, and in 1913 the two companies merged. In 1913, the baby four-cylinder car was produced in two models, one-passenger and the royal model, in blue and white colors. The car's color scheme was inspired by the wallpaper of the hotel where Durant stayed in France. In 1913, Louis Chevrolet and two others named him. R. Hefler and Jibois decided to establish a factory to produce Chevrolet aircraft engines. But the factory went bankrupt at the outset, and in 1941, Louis Chevrolet was mysteriously killed, and the mystery of her murder remains shrouded in mystery.

In 1914, the company was renamed Maxwell Motor, and 5,005 vehicles were produced in New York City. In the same year, another model, the Chevrolet 490, was introduced for $ 490.

In two years, 70,701 units of this car were sold, and in 1917, the company's first roofless sports car was built. In 1918, Chevrolet began commercial production of trucks. In 1919, Chevrolet split into Durant and General Motors, producing 149,904 vehicles before World War II.

In 1921, after the war, due to a lack of capital of five million, Chevrolet went to the brink of collapse and bankruptcy, but had already faced this situation in 1911, which under the good management of William Durant in less than ten years. , Became one of the largest car factories in the world.

In 1935, Chevrolet celebrated the production of its tenth millionth car. In 1936, Chevrolet's braking system became hydraulic. In 1939, the company launched the Chevrolet Citation with 15 million cars.

Before the outbreak of World War II, the company broke the record for annual car sales, and in 1941 recorded a figure of 1.4 million sales in the global car market. That year, one of the company's coupes also won several races. In 1948 W. F. Armstrong, one of General Motors' most successful executives, took over Chevrolet. With the arrival of this new manager, the style of car production changed again in the Chevrolet factories and introduced other models of it to the market in 1950. As a result of this new style, apart from changes in the car body, major changes were made in the engine structure as well as its price.

From 1950 onwards, most Chevrolet models were fully automatic. One of Armstrong's most important tasks was to produce very cheap models, which were crucial to Chevrolet's economic growth.

Although these two models did not sell as well as the company's cars, they continued to be produced until 1969.

The Chevrolet Nova was designed and built in 1962 as a model based on the Chevrolet Cornwall and Impala; in 1964 a larger model was launched. Also in the same year, the Chevrolet Caprice went on sale for $ 3,347, along with the Chevrolet Nova, which was priced at $ 2,028, was put up for sale. By 1963, Chevrolet was so advanced that one in 10 cars produced in the United States accounted for Chevrolet.

In 1967, she built a sports and coupe model called the Chevrolet Camaro, and for two decades it was produced as one of the most popular sports cars, which attracted the attention of all adventurers.

One of the most popular Camaro models was the 5700 cc engine, which was launched in 1989 with the Corvette engine. In the 1970s, Chevrolet engines were used by many other manufacturers, such as Opel and Oldsmobile, who purchased their six- and eight-cylinder engine engines from the company.

In the early 1970s, a contract was signed between Chevrolet and Isuzu, and it was decided that Chevrolet would supply all of the plant's automotive equipment.

Chevrolet launched the Chevrolet Nova, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Chevrolet Bell Air, Chevrolet Blazer and Chevrolet Suburban in 1971, and in the same year launched the luxury model Caprice, which sold tremendously to the company It counted.
