Man did not know  lots of things numbers at first, and he counted the objects around him by instinct, that is, like, for example, the sheep of a flock; He did, but soon realized he could get a more accurate counting device.

Inevitably, with the help of the device's fingers, she created a number based on the number 60.

This counting device, which is a bit complicated, is the oldest counting device that remains and remnants of it was seen in the ancient documents of the history of Sumerian mathematics, whose civilization dates back to about a thousand years BC in southern Mesopotamia, the area between the two rivers Tigris and The Euphrates was inhabited.

The first three centuries of Greek mathematics, which began with the early efforts of Thales around 600 BC and culminated in the eminent book of Euclid's Principles around 300 BC, mark a period of astonishing achievement in mathematics.

The first three centuries of Greek mathematics, which began with the early efforts of Thales around 600 BC and culminated in the eminent book of Euclid's Principles around 300 BC, mark a period of astonishing achievement in mathematics.

It was around 1200 BC that the primitive Dorian tribes left the mountain fortresses of the north to gain access to more favorable territories along the southern peninsula of the Greek peninsula, and later built their large tribe, the Spartans. A significant portion of the former inhabitants fled to Asia Minor and the Aegean islands to save their lives.
It was after these migrations that the Greek school was founded in the sixth century BCE,and Greek philosophy flourished and argumentative geometry was born.
In the meantime, Iran became a great military empire. And by gaining victory over expansionist principles and plans in 546 BCE, he conquered the city of Ionia and the Greek settlers in Asia Minor.

As a result, some Greek philosophers, such as Pythagoras, abandoned their homeland and moved to the flourishing settlements of southern Italy.

Schools of philosophy and mathematics at Crotona, founded by Pythagoras and Elijah at Xenophon, Xenon, and Parmindes.

Around 480 BC, the Athenians experienced a fifty-year period of peace, a milestone in the history of mathematics, and many mathematicians were attracted to Athens. In 431 BC, by beginning of the "Peloponnesian War" between the Athenians and the Aspartians, peace ended and the defeat of the Athenians, again set a record in the history of mathematics.

Very old bones and pieces of wood have been found that you can see some grooves on them. Scientists believe that the grooves symbolize the first human use of numbers and could indicate the number of days spent or the number of primitive  man cattle.

This number display system, called the "tallysystem" (like the lines that prisoners draw on the wall in prison for days spent in prison that you saw on films), displays natural numbers 1, 2, 3, and so on. The tally does not have the concept of "spatial value" (such as the position of decimal , hundreds, thousands in a ten system base) and therefore has the limitation of displaying large numbers. However, the tally system is known as the oldest number display system.

The oldest mathematical number representation system with the concept of spatial value is the sixty-based number representation system, which dates back to the Babylonians in 3400 BC.
Also, the oldest system of mathematical numbers representation ,based on ten (like modern numbers) ,dates back to the Egyptians in 3100 BC.

History of arithmetic numbers in mathematics

Integer numbers in mathematics are the same set of natural numbers and the number zero (1,2,3 and so on ). As a result, the history of Integer numbers is actually the same as the history of the number zero. The first use of zero as a number in mathematics dates back to its use in the "spatial value representation system" as a "placeholder".

For example, in a system based on ten, the difference between the number one and the number ten is only one zero. In fact, the number zero here plays the role of placeholder, that it holds the unity place for the number ten in order to have the number one the role of decimal.

In studying of the history of mathematics, it should be said that the Babylonians, Egyptians and Indians used the number zero in their texts. The surviving documents also show that the Maya (the Maya in the Americas) also used the number zero.

The ancient Greeks were skeptical about using zero as a number. They ask themselves, "How can anything be anything?" That "nothing" means zero in the sense of nothing, non-existence or emptiness. This question sparked some interesting philosophical debates at the time.
