- Documents required for a Schengen visa

In order to travel to one or more Schengen countries, as mentioned above, you must apply for a Schengen visa by visiting certain embassies / consulates. However, like how to apply for a visa from any other country, certain conditions are required to follow up on the application. A single copy of the required documents, along with some additional information, is described and listed in detail in the section on documents required for a Schengen visa. You can also find out about the Schengen visa requirements in this link and the links to the embassies of the Schengen member countries mentioned above.

- Types of Schengen visas

Depending on the nature / purpose of the trip, there are different types of Schengen visas issued by certain embassies / consulates.

1. Schengen Ordinary Visa (USV)

A normal Schengen visa as a visa is one of the Schengen member states for transport or residence in the region, which is valid for a specific period of up to 90 days in each six-month period‌ which starts from the date of entry into the Schengen area. Depending on the purpose of the trip, a regular Schengen visa is divided into three categories: "A", "B", and "C".

2. Valid Restricted Visa (LTV)

This type of visa allows you to travel only to the Schengen visa issuing country or, in some cases, to other Schengen countries whose names are specifically mentioned when applying for the visa. With the exception of countries whose names are mentioned when applying for a visa, this particular type of visa is not valid for travel to other unnamed Schengen countries.

3. National visa

A "D" national visa is issued to persons entering a Schengen country to study, work or reside permanently.Of course, a national visa is granted to people who intend to stay in one of the Schengen countries for a specific period of time or for a specific purpose, who must return to their country after the end of the specified period.
