Although renting a business in Iran is
not uncommon, it is not very common and few people know about it. But for many immigrants, especially those
who come to Canada as a family, such places are so attractive and economical
that they do not leave the concrete settlement until they have prepared their
own home.
As the name implies, basements are the
spaces that are prepared for living (so-called completed). Many houses in Canada are built as villas
in our Iranian terminology, meaning a duplex house with sleeping facilities on
the second floor.
The ground floor of these houses is
mainly a few steps above the ground and therefore part of the basement space is
located above the ground and therefore is different from Iranian types. Some
landlords prefer to earn a monthly income by renting a home floor. Others use
this space to provide entertainment facilities, a children's playroom and a
movie theater. Some leave it unfinished, leaving it to itself.
Is living in basements really cheaper?
Mostly so. It depends on whether only the
price parameter is important to us or we look at it as a whole. For example,
there are areas where the price of a one-bedroom apartment is cheaper than or
equivalent to some one-bedroom apartments in more prominent areas. But many people do not recommend living in those cheaper
areas. Remember, in general, living in basement is more economical. Of course, the price of basement
varies depending on the region, the specifications of the structures and the
facilities inside it, and for each case, it should be checked whether the
applicant needs those types of facilities and specifications or not. But now that the price of rental
apartments in the better areas of Toronto has risen, there is a significant
price difference between the cost of the business and the apartment, which the
resident of the business can spend on maintaining the initial savings or
providing a personal car and other living expenses.
Living in basement is generally a good
choice for single people or young couples. Of course, depending on the size of
the space (because three-bedroom basement are also available!), Larger families
can also live in it. If you
have children, some situations like usable space, amount of light and access to
other parts of the house (for example, the yard of the house if the landlord
does not disagree to it) can be effective in determining whether or not basement
is a good choice. For
example, it has been seen in cases where the landlord was an elderly couple who
treated the tenant child like their grandson, but these cases are not the same
in all cases. On the other hand,
just because this place is unpaved and costs less, does not mean that it is a
low-quality place. A good basement with a good landlord can have even better
conditions than a luxury condo and offer you many possibilities.
